Crimson Code

MJ Fontenot is forty and still slinging gumbo at the Wooden Spoon while drawing portraits for tourists on her days off. She has zero time for New Orleans’ latest drama - the newly passed Crimson Code which lets vampires live openly in the city. She’s too busy chasing her art dreams and avoiding laundry.Until she gets a letter from an attorney bearing the mother of all surprises. MJ’s powerful biological father wants to meet her.Problem is, he’s a vampire. And she’s…not.Suddenly dropped into a world of mansion-sized secrets, undead politics, and a family she never knew she had, MJ’s quiet life is about to get a whole lot more interesting. Accompanied by her cat, Remi, and her protective co-worker, Hutch, she learns that some inheritances come with fangs. And zero instruction manuals. But this is an offer she can’t refuse. Even if it might come back to bite her.
