Alien Warrior Academy

As one of the new human cadets at an alien military academy, I knew I’d have to prove myself. Especially since I’m one of only a few females sent by Earth. I just didn’t know that the one alien I want to impress would be the one who seems determined to hate me. I was sent here because I’m a champion pod racer, so why won’t the big, gruff pod instructor let me show him what I can do? If he thinks ignoring me or assigning me after-hours work polishing his pods will discourage me, then he’s never met a girl from Texas. 

With a traitor in our midst, I shouldn’t be consumed with memories of our night together. And I definitely shouldn’t be thinking about just how well he lit my fuse. Especially when that traitor’s attacks are getting deadlier and hitting closer to home each time. Can I protect both the academy and my heart? Or will they end up shattered beyond repair?

If I could use my hacking expertise to fly through the academy’s courses I would, but that doesn’t work in hand-to-hand combat. And this guy? He’s determined to turn me into a soldier. Except I’m more suited to being a nerd than a killer. I’m not here to learn those skills, only enhance my knowledge of alien technology, and it doesn’t include the Lokarian anatomy. But then I’m getting tutored privately (because that’s how much I suck), and it’s giving me an upfront view of the male’s body as he kicks my Georgia peach two ways from Sunday. 

All I want is to be part of the elite taskforce that will defeat our enemy, once and for all. The problem? Daryx is the one overseeing the training for the mission. Some days, I’m not sure if I want to stab or kiss him, especially when the silver fox tells me how much he believes in me. That does something to a girl’s ego. Now, we’re fighting to bring down our enemy, but my feelings are getting in the way. Can I do my job if it means sacrificing him? Or will we both perish because my heart chooses him over logic?
