It’s spring break! But Max doesn’t get to go to the comic book convention to see his favorite superhero Mr. Amazing like he wants to. No, he has to spend it at the beach with his family. And his vacation turns into one horrible disaster after another. First, there’s the sticky road trip, thanks to his little sister’s messy eating habits. Then, he suffers the worst sunburn ever, and to top all of that, his nose has a dangerous confrontation with a crab.

Lord Aiden recounts the MacInnes family history to his young daughter Elise. Historic tales from the time of Moses describe the family being expelled from Egypt and embarking on an epic journey through Crete and Thrace to finally settle in Spain. The family hear of a mysterious green land with rolling hills and no venomous snakes from market traders.

A year after leaving Scotland, Susan Miller has freshly graduated from college and has a job as the manager of the printing department of a tourism magazine in the Outer Banks. One day as she’s going through her daily routine, she receives an unexpected call from her old flame, Danny, who tells her that he’ll be visiting the North Carolinian coast for work. Immediately a flood of emotions resurfaces as the two of them meet up again along the ocean shoreline and decide to take a trip across Susan’s home state.

Bored and unsatisfied, North Carolinian college student Susan Carter cuts off her relationship with her classmate George. Susan soon gets an invitation from her former roommate Heather to travel to the scenic city of Edinburgh and takes the chance to spend part of her Summer there. Little does she know that she’ll end up running into “Scotland’s most eligible bachelor” Daniel (“Danny”) McThwaites at an exclusive movie premiere.

Christmas break is only a few weeks away. But before Max can relax and enjoy his winter holiday, he has to face a danger beyond any others that he has come across at Filmore Middle School. It is something he fears more than the school bully, Bart Johnson. Something more embarrassing than having to wear stinky gym clothes from the Lost and Found. The Winter School Dance! Girls are supposed to ask the boys this time to the dance. Will anyone ask Max? He doesn’t even know if he wants to go. Will he be expected to actually dance at the event?

Danny McIntyre gets an urgent call that his best friend Philip is in critical condition after a boat crashes off the shores of Aberdeen. When the doctor bears grim news that there’s a good chance that he might never walk again, even after a vital surgery. Danny, Susan, David, and Heather are forced to reconcile that with what little holiday time they have left. Heather tries to distract them with day trips to places like Loch Ness and Perth’s galleries in order to cope with the emotional trauma. While David uses logic and medical research to control his dark thoughts.

Today is Halloween, Max’s favorite day of the year. That’s because of trick-or-treating, the neighborhood haunted house, and he gets to dress up as his favorite superhero, Mr. Amazing. But the day doesn’t start off as Max had hoped. First, his best friend, Sam, also dresses up Mr. Amazing. That’s super embarrassing. Then he has to deal with the big kids at Filmore Middle School who keep tugging on his cape and snapping his mask. That is super annoying. And on top of it, his parents ruin his plans to go trick-or-treating. That is super upsetting.

Even as a new mother Kimberly is determined to continue to do everything, she can to ensure that Campbell Farm remains a success. With her husband in tow and a fiery spirit that is determined to never quit, there is little doubt that she is capable of restoring glory to the old manor. However, with the appearance of a mysterious figure Kim is given one final chance to choose to stay or to leave.

On the first day of school, Max’s alarm goes off bright and early. But he is not ready to get back into the routine of a new school year, especially not with all the dangers he has to face. First, he has to get ready and get out the door before Mom hits 10 on her stress-o-meter and goes nuclear.
