It's February 3, 1959 in Clear Lake, Iowa and Buddy Holly is in town for a big rock 'n roll show. To impress their dates, high school seniors and best friends, Billy and DJ, have "borrowed" a prized Cadillac belonging to Billy's uncle who is on vacation in Florida.
