Thomas Watson (c. 1620 - 1686) was an English Puritan preacher and author. Alfred Edersheim (1825-1889) was a biblical scholar who converted from Judaism to Christianity and wrote popular books like The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah, The Temple: Its Ministry and Services, and Bible History Old Testament. In this extensive work, Edersheim examines the Messianic prophecies in the Jewish scripture from the Christian perspective.
