Story
A young Black boy is abandoned by his mother and initially raised by a caring woman, who is not related to him, along with two groups of Black women: Catholic nuns and prostitutes in Washington, D.C. He credits these groups for their joint efforts in preventing his life from being plagued by negative outcomes. His life takes a drastic turn when he experiences a new living arrangement following adoption. Evolving from a gang member to ultimately becoming a university president, he pays homage to the women in his life who nurtured his successful journey.
