Camilla Thurlow came second on Love Island in 2017. More recently, she has impressed viewers in the latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. But that's not the most interesting part.... Camilla can do something that none of her fellow contestants, and not even the ex-Special Forces directing staff on Celebrity SAS can do: find, neutralise and destroy the landmines that threaten the lives and livelihoods of so many people in the world's former war zones and make their land unworkable.

Thurlow was born and raised in Scotland and is a former Miss Edinburgh winner. After attending university in England and leaving with a First, Thurlow worked for four years with the Halo Trust in Explosive Ordnance Disposal: locating, de-arming and removing landmines that put lives and livelihoods at risk in former war zones. Thurlow found the work began to take a toll on her health and took a step back. At which point, she was approached to be a contestant on the reality TV show Love Island.
