Contains all available episodes from 1976. CBS Radio Mystery Theater was a noteworthy attempt to revive in American radio dramas like Inner Sanctum (1941-1952) and Suspense (1942-1962). Radio dramas were widely considered "dead" 12 years prior to this series. CBS Radio Mystery Theater, or simply Mystery Theater, was created by Inner Sanctum creator Himan Brown and ran on CBS from 1974-1982. The show, much like older radio dramas, was introduced by a host (in this case E.G. Marshall), who steers us through the creaking door to start the episode. Luke Slaughter of Tombstone debuted on February 23, 1958 and, sadly, only ran for a total of 16 episodes. Sam Buffington played Luke Slaughter, a Civil War cavalry officer, turned cattle rancher, in post-Civil War Arizona Territory near Fort Huachuca and the town of Tombstone, not far from the U.S. southern border. This was a well-received program but was cut short due to the pressure of television at the time. At the beginning of each show we hear "Slaughter's my name, Luke Slaughter. Cattle's my business. It's a tough business, it's a big business. I got a big stake in it. And there's no man...

All available episodes. Obsession was an early 1950s syndicated anthology of thriller and suspense radio programs featuring some of Hollywood's best radio talent. The scripts are unfortunately inconsistent, but most are good listening. Among radio collectors, this series is not well-documented and does not appear in all radio reference directories. It was, however, a fairly big budget program. Some of the more prominent actors to perform on the program included Parley Baer, Virginia Gregg, Harry Bartell, Howard McNear, Jeanette Nolan, Dan O'Herlihy, Alan Reed, Marvin Miller, and William Conrad. Unfortunately, the show only ran for one season of 39 episodes. This podcast features all episodes.

The names of the cast and production crew were never revealed so when the series stopped airing, it was as if it ceased to exist.
