Slowly and shrewdly, she learned the intimate details of everyone's life and recorded the seamy facts in a diary so as not to forget a single sordid detail. One day, May Laval threatened to publish her diary. Now it’s up to PR man Jake Harrison to find out who killed May and - while he’s at it - why his wife left him.

This is a very readable and great novel of real warriors vs all their enemies on all sides (theirs and ours) told via the historical stage of The Battle of the Bulge. While classic warrior vs remf, it is also a detailed look at the field soldier of that era, wonderful character studies rather than the usual WWI stereotype soldiers. From all I heard from my uncles and family friends who were "there" this rings all true, and hence it is a great listen. You will continue to listen when you should be sleeping to see what happens next.
