Pearl and Pick hitch their little red wagons together and get married at Lake Manor. While Mopsy Cornpon—Pick’s cousin— has the nerve to get herself killed, officially ruining a good reception! As Thelma Rue, the president of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. John’s Baptist Church, and her best friend, Pearl White, prepare to open the church on the Sunday before Easter, they stumble upon their hairdresser, Triston Stylz, who has been poisoned and dumped in one of their Sunday School rooms. Thelma and her posse, ranging in ages from their sixties to their eighties, run all over tarnation looking for clues and questioning suspects who may or may not be the killer. The women are hot on the trail of a murderer they fear will strike again. Will one of the ladies be the next murder victim?
