Vännerna på Canterlot High är i full gång med att samla in pengar till en renovering av Camp Everfree. Tyvärr går det alldeles för långsamt och de har bara fått ihop hälften så mycket som behövs. Då får Rarity idén att de ska ställa upp i en sång-och-danstävling, där de kan vinna allt de behöver och lite till! Men för att ha råd med kostymer måste de använda allt de hittills samlat in. De ska dessutom besöka en filminspelning av en Daring Do-film. Hur ska de hinna?! Samtidigt har Sunset Shimmer tankarna på helt annat håll.

Äntligen är det dags för vännerna på Canterlot High att åka till Camp Everfree! Alla har verkligen sett fram emot den här dagen. Men för Twilight Sparkle börjar resan på ett riktigt obehagligt sätt. Redan på bussen drömmer hon mardrömmar om att hon ska förvandlas till den onda Midnight Sparkle igen. Kan det hända, eller var det bara en oskyldig dröm? Lägerledaren Gloriosa är kanske den hurtigaste personen som Sunset Shimmer någonsin träffat. Men stämningen verkar minst sagt spänd mellan Gloriosa och hennes bror Timber.

Magisches Chaos und Missetaten... Die Mädchen sind zurück von ihrem Ausflug zum Camp Everfree - aber noch ist keine Zeit für Entspannung! Nachdem sie das Camp vor einer Katastrophe gerettet haben, müssen sie immer noch Geld sammeln, um die nötigen Reparaturen vornehmen zu können – und eine Autowasch-Spendenaktion wird wohl nicht reichen. Die Mädchen sind bereit, etwas Neues auszuprobieren - zum Beispiel die Teilnahme an einem Musikvideowettbewerb. Dabei geraten sie sogar in die Welt der Filmmagie.

Das letzte Jahr an der Canterlot High war für unsere Equestria Girls nicht gerade einfach. Sie brauchen eine Pause und da kommt ein Ausflug zum Camp Everfree gerade recht! Alle freuen sich - außer Twilight Sparkle. Sie fürchtet, dass sie sich wieder in die böse Midnight Sparkle verwandelt und ihre neuen Freundinnen in Gefahr bringt. Aber das ist gar nicht ihr größtes Problem! Die anderen Mädchen haben selbst magische Kräfte entwickelt und seit der Ankunft im Camp passieren seltsame Dinge. Es scheint, als könnten die Mädchen sich doch nicht erholen!
