Abandoned by her husband of twenty-two years, not quite destitute, Donna Hendricks finds a little red hardbound in a San Francisco used bookstore for a quarter. Sure that this ancient looking volume is worth a lot, she buys it without looking inside. Later, when she opens it, the book is blank except for the first page that word for word tells of Donna finding a little red hardbound in a used bookstore for a quarter, sure that it is worth a lot and later opening the book. . . The last sentence printed suggests what Donna should do next.

Channeling Biker Bob takes us inside the psyche of Stewart Chance, a bewildered "new-age" man who can’t figure out why his sensitivity is neither adored by his wife nor fulfilling to his own sense of manhood. In a delightfully raucous manner, Stewart’s transformation is propelled via a charismatic yet irreverent Harley-riding spirit named Biker Bob.
