The World explode into war as Austro-Hungary declares war on Serbia following the assassination of the heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Russia follows suit and mobilizes, while Germany supports its ally and declares war on Russia. France then joins the war as it is Russia’s ally.

The year is 1943. The war in the Pacific enters its 11th month, and there is no sign of it slowing down. The Japanese Empire has conquered most of the theater, except for Australia and a few outlying islands in the Solomons that the Allies have been able to liberate.

The year is 1942. The war rages all across the Pacific theater. Battles have been fought from the Hawaiian Islands to the city of Kunming in China, in Australia, and in New Guinea. Cities have been destroyed, raided, and many areas lie in ruins. Large naval battles have been fought, and dozens upon dozens of ships have been sunk to the bottom. Imperial Japan reigns supreme everywhere. The Allies are almost out of ships. But America has not yet given up on ultimate victory. Its factories are producing ships at a never before seen speed. Large fleets will soon roam the seas.

The year is 1940 and war is blossoming across the globe. The Battle of Britain enters its last phase, and it remains to be seen if the Germans will be able to master the proud British into submission. Large air fleets fight for supremacy in the English skies, and the civilians pay the price with the British cities in flames.

The year is 1939. The World rocks with the news of the signing of the Germano-Soviet pact. A dark veil soon falls on Europe as Poland is invaded and destroyed by the overwhelming forces of the Wehrmacht and the Red Army. France and the United Kingdom can only sit by and watch the two military juggernauts obliterate the Polish state. No one believes the two totalitarian regimes can agree in the long term as their ideologies completely contradict each other. Russia wants influence in the Balkans, has eyes on Finland, and wants an opening to the Mediterranean.

Following a year and a half of international tensions and demands from the aggressive Fuhrer of the German Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, Poland is invaded by the German Third Reich, triggering the start of the Second World War. German armies advance over the border and smash Polish forces with their Panzer forces and their powerful Luftwaffe, while the Soviet Union watches with glee, eventually joining into the spil by launching an invasion of its own.

The Second World War is raging across Europe. The Axis reign supreme from the British Isles to Gibraltar, and all the way to Baghdad, while the Allied nations of the USA, Free France, and the UK gather their strength for their counter-offensive. Germany and the Soviet Union, battling each other on the Eastern Front since the Red Army attacked the year before, are about to embark on the biggest war in human history.

The year is 1942. The world is at war. Almost every major nation has declared for the Allies or the Axis. Europe is occupied by the Third Reich, and the British Islands have been invaded and conquered by the Germans. Only one major power is still on the sideline. Imperial Japan, already busy in its war of conquest in China, dawns to the idea of conquering the Pacific and Southeast Asia, following German successes in Europe and the subsequent weakening of the resource-rich Franco-British and Dutch colonies.

September 1st, 1939. Germany invades Poland, igniting a major European war. A few months later, the French are also invaded, and the allied armies are utterly defeated. Then the Dunkirk disaster happens, and the United Kingdom loses most of its land army. Soon, the British Isles are also attacked, and the British are hard-pressed with a serious German invasion. The French struggle to resist the Axis forces bent on conquering all of their mainland home country and West African colonies.

Operation Barbarossa is in full swing as the Germans and their Axis allies are moving inside the Soviet Union. The battles of Smolensk and Kiev are looming on the horizon, and further away, Moscow and Leningrad. Can the Red Army withstand the German offensive and defeat the invaders?

The year is 1940, and the Axis is invading everywhere. As the Battle of England winds down and results in a German defeat, Adolf Hitler set his sights on the South and the Mediterranean theater. The Reich can deal a deadly blow to the British Empire by conquering Gibraltar and the Suez Canal. In doing so, it would cut the British supply lines and make the Mediterranean Sea an Axis lake. The British cannot afford to lose both spots as much as it cannot lose Egypt and the Middle East. It will fight as much as it can to prevail and defeat the Germans, Italians, and Soviets.

March-April 1915. The German High Sea Fleet sorties out of its harbors in Brest and St-Nazaire to challenge the Royal Navy's Grand Fleet once more, triggering a powerful naval battle. Meanwhile, a German battle squadron races south to reach German Southwest Africa. The Fleet's mission is to help the German Pacific Squadron, which will eventually sail out of the Atlantic via the Cape Horn. On land, both the Central Powers and the Entente are planning an offensive as Spring and early summer arrive.

The Galizien Sturm offensive is in full swing in the East. The Germans, under the command of General Paul von Hindenburg, have just stormed the Brest-Litovsk Fortress in Western Belarus. They now start their movement southward toward Western Ukraine to outflank General Brussilov. Meanwhile, General August Mackensen’s attack on the Przemysl Fortress continues with the obvious objective of pushing on to the main Russian Army supply hub in Lemberg.

With landings in Australia, raids on the U.S. Mainland, and campaigns in Burma, the Imperial forces have expanded the Japanese realm and still look unstoppable. The Allies are now regrouping from the catastrophic losses they have taken in the last six months.

The good weather has finally arrived, and the empires of Europe are ready to hurl their armies and fleets at each other in a fight of titanic proportions. The stakes are high, with Austria-Hungary and France reeling on the brink of disaster.

January 1915. The Great War is now in full swing, and almost every nation in Europe has been dragged into it. Now, the Greeks and the Romanians are about to enter the conflict. The Romanian offensive into Transylvania, combined with the disastrous fall Austro-Hungarian offensive of 1914 and the encircled Przemysl fortress, are threatening to unhinge the Dual Monarchy and knock Austria-Hungary out of the war.

September 1914: The world is at war, and Europe is in flames. Paris had just fallen to the German forces of Kaiser Wilhelm, and the Entente forces are reeling back in disarray. With the fall of Paris, France is in dire straits, and General Joffre, its commander-in-chief, is relieved of command. The two allies meet in London to see how the war can be prosecuted from that point.
