Este libro habla de como evitar que el sistema nervioso genere ansiedad. No es un libro de ejercicios para calmar la ansiedad, de estos ya hay muchos. Tampoco es un libro técnico o científico, de estos también hay muchos. "La ansiedad no es un mosquito que pasa y me pica" habla de que la ansiedad no es una cosa externa a la persona que en cualquier momento la puede atacar (cómo si fuera un mosquito).

Anxiety Is Not a Passing Mosquito that Stings Me explains that anxiety is not something outside the person that could attack them at any moment (as if it were a mosquito). The book also explains that anxiety is not inevitable; rather it is produced by certain behaviours in the individual that make their nervous system feel at risk and this is when the symptoms we call anxiety appear. The text describes these behaviours and how to change them.
