But when his weaponized suit is stolen, he'll stop at nothing to get it back. Even if he has to break into the alien king's stronghold to do it. On the way to spring his imprisoned informant, though, an energy-slinging arcanist named Rachel lays claim to the same captive.

For the first time in history, human and raknoth stand united against the doom coming to swallow them all whole. Okay. On second thought, "united" is probably a strong word. Turns out, mutual fear of galaxy-conquering super monsters does not a steadfast alliance make. Especially not between the people of Earth and the very creatures that devastated it.

In the wake of the troglodan attack on Earth, fledgling Knight Nate Arturi and his unruly crew venture into Alliance space in pursuit of the mysterious Black Knight.
