    Es gibt Romane, die vor allem über ihre Verfilmungen bekannt wurden, und bei manchen davon ist das ein bisschen schade. EINER FLOG ÜBERS KUCKUCKSNEST von Ken Kesey ist so ein Roman, bei dem man, kennt man nur den natürlich großartigen Film mit Jack Nicholson in der Hauptrolle, immer noch eine Menge verpasst hat, vor allem das Innenleben der Hauptfigur, denn die ist im Roman eben nicht der quirlige, starke, redselige, von Jack Nicholson gespielte McMurphy, sondern der große, schweigende Indianer "Häuptling" Bromden, der sich im Laufe des Romans durch einen dichten, psychotischen Nebel in die Freiheit kämpft.
