Percy is a poor child with nothing to his name. He has no power, no family–only an old mentor in his wooden hut outside town. Even that is taken away from him when the old man dies. But everything changes when he gains access to mana and manifests what is known as an Ego. His Ego doesn’t grant him strength like others would. It's rare, allowing him to consume what he owns and to reforge the ordinary into the extraordinary.

When creatures from beyond begin descending upon the Earthen Union, even the Regressor has no answers. Forced to confront Voidlings and other unseen threats, David makes a decision that will change everything. He is a Healer. A Lifeweaver. But his Class does not define him. It never has. He's slayed Voidlings. He's harvested them.

All David ever wanted was control over his own life. But as the thrill of battle fades, he finds himself caught in the web of powers far greater than anything he imagined. To earn his freedom, he needs strength—and strength he gains, throwing himself into one brutal challenge after another. Even as blades and supernatural forces tear into his body, he pushes forward. He’s no longer alone. Allies stand beside him as enemies rise to stop him. Gods take notice—some even request his aid. Just when it seems like things are finally getting better in Arc, everything falls apart.

After surviving the impossible, David returns to the Earthen Union forever changed. A god’s heart beats within his chest; an engine of power that no mortal body was meant to contain. Now he must learn to control it, master it, and rise far beyond what he once was because the final confrontation is coming, and only a god can hope to make a change. But newfound power brings new dangers.
