A Great Evil lurks over the horizon in Kalamar. So, too, does a great Good. Benjamin and Kay-Lee, The Chosen, may finally be ready to fulfill their destinies and save Kalamar from Darkness.

Avery could no longer stand to be humiliated by others for her belief in The Storytellers and the loss of her only child. Her loss, like others, was too great to bear and broke her heart. The memory hurt and continued to fill her with pain. With each shallow breath, her lips quivered as her mind raced. She leaned forward, placing her head down in her arms on the table. The soft sobbing, unnoticed by all except one, continue. Between each sob, she began to feel him touch her mind, with his thoughts overtaking hers, calming her.

Benny, a young boy of three, lies on the kitchen floor bleeding profusely. This was no accident, but the first assassination attempt. The assassins are not from Earth, sent from The Third Plane of Kalamar to kill the young child. Benny is no ordinary child. He is one of The Chosen, hidden on earth to escape the evil lord of darkness.
