Children Can Learn How to Defeat Anxiety Like a Superhero! As Grayson deals with his anxiety, he discovers that not only is his mother a support and advocate for him, but Harvey and other friends in the zoo encourage and support him, too. Grayson's momma understands his anxiety and gives him some tools to help him calm himself. Grayson's friends provide him words of encouragement and let him know that they are there for him. In the end, Grayson is a "superhero" goat and tells his listeners that they can be, too.

As all hippos do, Harvey liked to eat a lot of food. But, unlike other hippos, Harvey liked to eat all kinds of food, especially treats, and he liked to eat a lot of them. He ate so many treats, that he floated up to the sky and around the world. He got to see many interesting sights, but after a week of fun travel and not eating a thing, he got so thin, he floated right back into his zoo, where his family and friends, and a mound of lettuce, were waiting for him.

Harvey the Hippo Meets Mickey Mandarin is a story of gender binary and nonbinary new friends making introductions, learning a little background about each other, and finding that although they may identify differently, they all still like to play and have fun the same way. The animals are proud to say how they like to be addressed, such as he/him, she/her or they/them.
