Lizzy and Darcy are on their honeymoon in Bath, when her mother and Kitty show up to surprise them. They have hardly recovered from that shock, before they find a dead body in the women’s changing room. The waters at Bath might heal, but they can’t solve the mystery of who killed Lady Longe, or why they desired the cantankerous old woman’s death.

Dragging along a reluctant Lydia due to her scandalous behavior with a certain redcoat, Lizzy arrives at Hunsford to reunite with Charlotte. To her displeasure, she discovers Mr. Darcy is visiting his aunt at Rosings Park, and their stays overlap. At first, acrimony remains between them, but as the days pass, she starts to soften toward him. Lydia and Georgiana unexpectedly become close friends, and when Lydia is invited to stay with them at Darcy House, Lizzy can scarcely refuse to act as Lydia’s chaperone.

Lizzy is a young woman of modest means and social standing working as governess to the Darcy cousins, Richard and Fitzwilliam. She spies where she should not, and the Darcy men show her the error of her ways via her sweet submission. Will Lizzy capture and hold the attention of these two high-born gentlemen, or is her passionate nature going to lead her to ruin?

After Lizzy rejects Darcy’s proposal at Hunsford, he can’t accept it. He’s lost everyone in the world who matters to him, and he can’t allow Lizzy to slip away, too. In desperation, he kidnaps her with the intent of taking her to Gretna Green before an extended stay at the familial castle. Lizzy refuses his offer of marriage again, leaving him to enact a more desperate plan.

Shortly after losing her first pregnancy to miscarriage, Lizzy opens Pemberley to an ill and very pregnant Lydia, who has been abandoned by Wickham. The delivery proves too much for her fragile sister, leaving pitiable little Lydia in need of a devoted family in the absence of a loving mother. As the months pass, and Lizzy and Fitzwilliam come to love Lydia’s daughter as their own, a new pregnancy only increases their happiness. Everything feels as though it should be in place for a happy ending until Wickham’s return.

Following her rejection of Mr. Darcy’s proposal at Hunsford, Elizabeth has time for reflection and soon realizes she misjudged Darcy and is in love with him. Before she can convey the sincerity of her affections, her life is thrust into turmoil with the death of Mr. Bennet. Facing a life of reduced circumstances and insecurities, Lizzy pleads with Darcy to give her a second chance to accept his proposal. Instead, he agrees to care for her family, but he no longer wants marriage. Lizzy will be his mistress if she wants his assistance.

When Fitzwilliam finds Lizzy waiting in his carriage with a pistol aimed at him, they quickly discover they both have a mutual problem. Their sisters’ indiscretions are being used by someone to extort their families, so they decide to work together to learn who is blackmailing them. At first, they argue and have nothing in common, but he starts to see more to Lizzy than her fine eyes. Fitzwilliam is falling in love with her, but she resists his efforts because he objects to Jane’s seemingly shallow affections for Bingley.

While visiting Charlotte at Hunsford, Lizzy rejects Mr. Darcy’s proposal. Fate conspires to throw them together the next day as they rush to stop Charlotte and Richard from making a huge mistake. Their mission proves futile, but they reach a new understanding. Both believe their flight to follow their friends remains a secret, but secrets have a way of leaking....

Lizzy is the newest instructor at Netherfield Academy, and strange noises have her searching the corridors of the drafty old castle to discover the source. The previous headmaster disappeared under strange circumstances, and when his replacement, Mr. Darcy, catches her in the corridors, he warns her. The first time. The next time, he kisses her, and she sees something different about him. Darcy is as mysterious as the surroundings, and she fears for her life, her sanity, and her heart as she strives to resist the pull he exerts on her.

A moment of madness causes Lizzy and Fitzwilliam to be compromised. They reluctantly wed, but he believes she conspired with her mother to force the union. Under those circumstances, they will never make a marriage work, so she agrees to his plan to pursue an annulment in three years. Lizzy is humiliated but determined to live her life as though Mr. Darcy isn’t part of it...and he isn’t.

On the night of the Netherfield ball, Mr. Darcy seems like he will propose until a misunderstanding has him leaving the area and taking the Bingleys with him. That leaves Lizzy and Jane heartbroken, but since Lizzy’s burgeoning romance was a secret, she can’t show her pain. When news reaches them that the Bingleys are returning to Netherfield for Christmastide, Lizzy wonders if Darcy will return as well. If he does, can she forgive his abandonment, or is all hope of happiness with the man truly lost?

When Aunt Gardiner treats Lizzy and Jane to a seaside holiday at Ramsgate, Lizzy becomes fast friends with the neighbor, Miss Georgiana Darcy. She clashes immediately with Fitzwilliam Darcy when he comes to visit, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to prevent Georgiana from eloping with Wickham when she learns of the secret romance. Forced to marry, he leaves her without a backward glance as soon as they walk out of the church. Thrown together again in Meryton, will they compromise, or will they allow pride and prejudices to keep them apart?

While in Kent, Fitzwilliam finds the object of his affection in attendance at Hunsford. Interaction deepens his interest, and he’s prepared to throw aside caution and common sense to claim Elizabeth Bennet as his bride. On the cusp of proposing, they end up arguing, instead, when she learns about his meddling to keep Bingley safe from Jane. While fleeing him, Lizzy is injured, and he carries her to Rosings Park. It is the beginning of a new understanding between them.

Fitzwilliam gives his opinion of Meryton and its assembly ball to Bingley before having a chance to thoroughly study the attendees. A woman with fine eyes catches his attention, but she rebuffs his invitation to dance. Miss Elizabeth Bennet quotes his own thoughtless words back to him and seems to find amusement in causing him discomfort as she ensures all in attendance know his thoughts.

Lizzy and her family arrive at Pemberley to allow Fitzwilliam a chance to court her. Things are off to a splendid start until Lady Catherine invites herself, and Caroline Bingley is clearly intent on causing trouble between ODC. Someone is targeting Fitzwilliam and Pemberley for harassment, but is it the same person who murders the stablemaster during Lizzy’s stay? She and Darcy find themselves at odds over theories of the crime, but will that disagreement keep them from building a future together?

Lizzy and Jane are on a ship bound for America to stay with Mr. Collins’s younger brother when they meet Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy. Mr. Darcy’s disapproval of the burgeoning affection between Jane and Charles is painfully obvious, and Lizzy does her best to thwart his attempts to stop the developing relationship. She is puzzled by how invigorating it can be to trade barbs with Darcy, and he seems to enjoy it as well, but he is the last man she could ever soften toward due to his haughty manner and prideful ways.

Tasked with finding her a husband, he concludes he is the best choice. When Mr. Bennet collects on an old debt, Fitzwilliam finds himself in the strange position of inviting Lizzy to London on a secret mission to find her a husband. She isn’t to know his intentions, per his promise to her father, but as he introduces her to men of the Ton, he finds it increasingly difficult to imagine Lizzy marrying anyone but him. Will she move past her refusal to ever marry and accept his proposal? If she does, how will she react when she learns of the scheme her father invented and he undertook?

Fitzwilliam’s first impression of the residents of Meryton is poor, save for noticing a pair of fine eyes in a pale face. Elizabeth Bennet fascinates him even as they argue over her mother and sister’s intentions toward Bingley. When he learns of her weak heart, it does nothing to dissuade him from losing his and falling helplessly in love with her.

Three years after Mr. Darcy’s painful proposal and Lizzy’s fervent rejection, she is at a house party, when she receives a mysterious gift. Inside the box is a mask and a heartfelt letter from an ardent admirer, imploring her to meet with him that night for wicked games. It is a scandalous invitation, but Lizzy’s curiosity compels her to accept.

Lizzy arrives at Hunsford to visit Charlotte, having mixed feelings to discover Darcy is in the vicinity to see his aunt, the formidable Lady Catherine. They are inevitably thrown together, and she starts to see a different side to him. When Miss Anne becomes the victim of an extortion scheme, Lizzy volunteers to help identify the blackmailer. She is surprised when Mr. Darcy volunteers his assistance, seemingly accepting the situation and his cousin’s actions.
