Project-based learning (PBL) is no longer relegated to gifted classrooms, honors classes, and exploratory specials. PBL is an active piece of the K-12 learning experience, found in every subject, in every grade level, and in every part of curricula and scope and sequences. PBL is taking over traditional finals and mid-terms as the performance task. It is showing up as how you teach the unit, instead of only an ending project to the unit.

Next Gen Schools is on a mission to share what is working in real schools, right now, at the edge of learning. As Director of Learning and Innovation for Centennial School District our team created a podcast in 2017 highlighting the authentic learning opportunities happening in our schools, and the amazing work of our staff and students. This work led to schools from all around the country (and world) visiting our schools and seeing how we were innovating with purpose.
