時は明治。文明開化の世の中。
とある遊郭街で、連続猟奇殺人事件が起こる。
まるでケモノに切り裂かれたかのような被害者たち。
それらはみな『伏』の仕業だった──。
『伏』は人間と犬の血を引き、人に紛れ、人を襲う。
しかし、人外の化け物『伏』にも天敵がいた。
それは『伏』を討つ存在──『伏狩者』。
事件を解決すべく二人の『伏狩者』が政府より派遣される。
一人は、名刀村雨丸に選ばれた青年『戍孝』。
もう一人は、青年の妹、猟銃使いの少女『しの』。
