Exclusive to Audible. Ian Rankin visits the Audible studios to talk about his author journey. Talking about his successful Rebus novels, Ian describes how he created the character and the challenges he faces writing such a long-running series. The Rebus series is now translated into 22 languages, and the books are best sellers on several continents.

Historical novelist Philippa Gregory published her first novel Wideacre in 1987. With the book becoming a best seller, it began a career that has now lasted 30 years. The first in the Wideacre trilogy, it was soon followed by The Favoured Child (1989) and Meridon (1990). In the year of Wideacre's 30th anniversary, Philippa joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss the trilogy and the re-release of Wideacre, as well as the publication of her latest book The Last Tudor.

Cummins worked in the publishing industry for 10 years before becoming a full-time writer. Her first book, A Rip in Heaven, is a memoir about her two cousins being murdered and the attempted murder of her brother. Cummins used the book to deal with her grief and portrays the lives of the victims and their families. She went on to release two fictions novels. Her newest release is American Dirt, a novel which looks at the plight of migrants, as a mother and son desperately attempt to escape a cartel in Mexico by fleeing to the United States of America.

Joining us at Audible Studios is television presenter, author and teaching fellow Emma Dabiri, who has published her first book, Don't Touch My Hair. This book is all about why black hair matters and how it can be seen as a map of decolonisation. Dabiri takes us through the significant times, from pre-colonial Africa through the Harlem Renaissnace and Black Power and on to today's Natural Hair Movement.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his children’s books Junkyard Jack and the Horse That Talked and Tilly and the Time Machine is British comedian, actor and writer Adrian Edmondson. Best known for his comedic roles in television series such as The Young Ones and Bottom, which he wrote together with his best friend and collaborative partner, Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson has seen huge success since the early '80s, having been an integral part of The Comic Strip Presents.

They have taken their collaboration on air to the world of writing and audiobook narration to bring us the joys of protagonist Murph Cooper, aka Kid Normal, and the Super Zeroes. They are now on the third installment in the series: Kid Normal and the Shadow Machine, in which Kid Normal and the Super Zeroes lead the charge as supervillain Magpie declares all-out war.

Author of 11 best-selling novels including the Cicero trilogy, Fatherland and An Officer and a Spy, former journalist and master of thrillers Robert Harris visits the Audible Studios to discuss his latest novel, Munich, set against the backdrop of the fateful Munich conference in 1938 that changed history.

Best selling crime novelist Lee Child joins Robin Morgan in the Audible Studios to discuss his work, his writing, his latest book Night School, and his thoughts on Tom Cruise as his famous protagonist.

Hollie McNish visits the Audible Studios to talk about her book Nobody Told Me: Poetry and Parenthood. The book uses stories and poems to create a snapshot of motherhood, in which Hollie talks about everything from morning sickness and breastfeeding in public to the impossibility of ever finishing a hot cup of tea. Hollie has been performing poetry since 2005 and has gone viral on YouTube for her slick, poignant, political rhymes. She won the UK Slam Poetry Competition in 2009.

Joining us at Audible Studios is founder and CEO of Netflix Marc Randolph, who has founded over eight companies and is a serial entrepreneur. Randolph's Netflix journey began alongside his friend Reed Hastings in 1997, when they decided to give mail-order DVDs a try. Randolph, having picked up marketing and other tricks of the trade through previous roles, designed the original user interface and spent the first year of Netflix testing different designs to create the perfect business model for customer satisfaction.

Award-winning journalist and science writer Helen Thomson joins us to discuss the release of her debut audiobook, Unthinkable: a fascinating exploration into the inner workings of human behaviour. Helen talks to us about some of the strangest brains she’s ever come across and the baffling symptoms they’ve exhibited. Imparting a wealth of knowledge gathered from having spent over 10 years as a health and neuroscience journalist, Helen also addresses the impact that technological advancement might have on brain research and what inspired her to write the book.

After great success with her Imperial Radch trilogy, sci-fi author Ann Leckie comes to Audible to chat with us about her latest release, Provenance. We talk to her about what we can expect from Provenance, how it differs from her previous books and what prompted her to start writing novels.
