The stories and analogies and parables Jesus told capsulize a vast treasury of Kingdom truths designed to disciple men and women and help them understand the Kingdom of God.

God's names, titles, and descriptors are windows into his character. As we learn his names and meditate on them, we will come to know him more intimately. We will begin to trust him more fully. (Rev: 1-3) The books of the Bible were written at different times by different authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years from around 1400 BC through AD 90. The Old Testament was written in Biblical Hebrew excluding the books written during "the Chaldean captivity", such as Daniel and Ezra which were written in Biblical Aramaic during the Chaldean captivity.

The first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis, in the beautiful poetic language of the King James version, tells the story of creation and traces the genealogy of the chosen people of God. Here are the stories of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (renamed by God as Israel), ending with Joseph's descent into Egypt, with God's promise to them of future greatness.

The book of Revelation, the Apostle John's heavenly vision while on the island of Patmos, clearly depicts Jesus as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the Beginning and the End of all things forever.
