There’s a dark shadow hanging over the French Quarter, and Ofelia Archer is constantly looking over her shoulder because of it, waiting for the enemy to strike. While searching for one enemy, however, she finds another. On what was supposed to be a relaxing day on the riverwalk, a knife-wielding man tries to take out a street performer and chaos ensues. Ofelia manages to disarm the assailant, but when he’s being loaded into a police cruiser he explodes - literally - releasing a wave of magic that knocks down everybody in Jackson Square.

Life in the French Quarter is quiet—which is exactly how Ofeila Archer likes it. She's making plans for Christmas, trying not to fixate on the fact that her mother is picking up trash as part of her community service, and otherwise just lazing about. Then life takes a turn, as it so often does in New Orleans, and her mother calls with a problem. It seems she's found a body. Ofelia and her fiancé Zach Sully race to Bywater and are shocked to find that Ofelia knew the victim. She went to school with him, and at one time, he was close friends with her brother Felix.

Life is going well for Hali Waverly. She owns her own tiki bar at one of St. Pete Beach’s premiere resorts, and her life is settled for the first time in...well, a really long time. On top of that, a local private investigator she keeps crossing paths with has decided it’s time to date, something that both thrills and terrifies her. All of that changes when a body turns up on one of the resort’s balconies and the owner of the resort is passed out inside with no recollection of what happened.

Ofelia Archer was hoping for a break, a stretch of quiet time to enjoy the opening of her brother’s new bar, but the sight of vampires walking the rooftops one evening, tracking her, makes her wary. Then, the next morning, when a body is dropped in front of a famous vampire house, things in the Quarter take a turn.

It’s officially the start of morel season (her favorite holiday) and she knows exactly how she’s going to spend the next three weeks of her life, much to her fiancé Jack Harker’s chagrin. Everything changes when the two groups meet in the woods – the whimsy of morel hunting too much for Harper’s group to turn away from – and they happen to stumble across a body. It seems a local woman, a party enthusiast with a bad reputation, was shot down in the middle of the forest and it appears someone is out there hunting people rather than animals or mushrooms … making for a very dangerous morel season.

One of the biggest trivia competitions in the world is coming to Paradise Lodge, and Hali Waverly is expecting an influx of guests. What she’s not prepared for is murder. When a body drops on the resort’s beach, however, she finds herself knee-deep in the investigation along with her new boyfriend Gray Hunter. Unfortunately for her, there are a few too many suspects for her comfort level.

Hali Waverly is gearing up for a big change. The hip surgery she’s been dreading is only two weeks out, and that means it’s time to get things in order, before she’s down for the count to recuperate. She has a plan…and then the unthinkable happens. When leaving the doctor after scheduling surgery, a bank robbery suspect crosses Hali’s path. They’re also going to need some magical help.

All that changes when a teenage girl is almost abducted in front of her bar. Between her uncle dropping a bomb about the father she believed dead actually being alive and a mountain of feuding cheerleaders descending on The Bounding Storm, Rowan can’t quite seem to get a handle on her emotions. She has a job to do and opts to focus on that rather than her missing uncle - which is the professional thing, of course - but her mind is a busy place to visit. When the infamous omen pops up, it seems one of the warring cheer coaches is in trouble. Rowan dedicates herself to finding who might have murder on the mind.

It’s the most magical time of the year... for Harper and Zander, that is. Not Christmas, mind you, but Halloween. That’s right, Whisper Cove’s favorite ghost-hunting duo are decking out their house for their favorite holiday - and they’re only mildly fighting while doing it. All that comes to a screeching halt when Harper notices her neighbor acting odd and realizes he’s dead... leaving nothing but a cranky ghost and a lot of questions behind.

When a mysterious purse shows up at a ramshackle home from an era past, they follow a young woman’s trail to her mother’s house and find a dead body.
