Anne swears that she didn't lose Marilla's precious amethyst brooch-but where is it? Anne was the last one to see it, and Marilla is sure Anne must have taken it. Now the church picnic is drawing near and Anne is desperate to go. Can she clear her name or will the cloud of suspicion still linger?
