Some nights are memorable for W and they are filled with successes in fighting crime; some nights W holds on to the daytime identity of Guinn McGovern, trying to deal with a normal social existence and the struggles of modern dating.

The plan to bring W’s nemesis out in the open is set into motion, and the tide of events seems to be turning in our hero’s favor. Until an unexpected development threatens to blow up W’s secret identity.

Some nights are memorable for W and are filled with successes in fighting crime; during some nights, W holds on to the daytime identity of Guinn McGovern, trying to deal with a normal social existence and the struggles of modern dating. This night, W has to wear both hats: The job as a superhero doesn’t allow any day off, even when some truths about Guinn, and about how some of the main characters of the series became who they are, could be waiting around a corner.

What is wrong with Guinn? A day at work and an evening therapy session with Jay help W surf through the thoughts and feelings of a superhero on forced vacation. What’s the point of being super if you can’t be a hero? Guinn is also reminded of an unmissable upcoming opportunity to spy into the past, and everyone prepares to take full advantage of it.

W awakes from daydreaming about the past to fall back to square one, where we left our hero at the end of book four. But now W only has a few seconds to escape from the impossible situation fate has constructed. How will W accomplish this mission? What will the superhero attempt to find more answer to questions from a forgotten past?

Between serious threats to W’s secret identity and safety - from completely unexpected sources - and former allies becoming armed hurdles, W will have to find new ways to strive in the superhero job.
