Cooper Times Three consists of three related short stories.

Matt Cooper's back...somewhat. That is, his son and grandson open the story at Matt's graveside, paying their respects to the legendary detective. It's now 2012 and Matt's been dead for ten years. His son, Clay and grandson, Elliott now run Cooper Investigations and they're hot on a double murder case.

When Hank leaves South Dakota for Montana, he carries a heavy heart and some dark secrets; all of his belongings fill just one small suitcase. A country boy who doesn't speak the King's English, he's willing to work hard and keep his head down. He finds that opportunity as a flatland ranch hand helping Russell and Lora with the chores and their cattle in the Missouri Breaks in eastern Montana. The family provides him with work, renewed faith, and a respite from his troubled past. They introduce him to Eileen, a beautiful, confident red-head.

Sally Edwards didn't have many friends at Gravendale High School. Whenever Sally tried out for sports she would be picked on by her classmates because she was a tomboy. Sally had buck teeth and matted hair and slurred her speech. She also wore the same clothes to school every day. Sally was poor and was being raised by her alcoholic grandfather who didn't have long to live, maybe weeks at best. When her classmates got wind of the passing of her grandfather the following week they started picking on her pretty hard.

Billy and Susan loved to hear their father read stories to them every night at bedtime. Susan told her brother, Billy, that the stories were for little kids. Susan said, "Billy I love dad, but I wish he would read scary stories to us instead of stories like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. They were okay when we were younger, but we are so much older now." "I feel the same way. I like it when mother and father go out to dinner at night so we can watch scary movies together," replied Billy.

Hell Hill Island was founded in 1863 by Marshall Sam Tucker who didn't believe in a fair trial because of his short fuse. If you back talked the Marshall, he would shoot you in both legs, then drag your wounded body with a rope he held as he rode his horse up to the Gallows to be hung high and when the Marshall was through watching the dead body swing back and forth on the Gallows, he would set their body on fire and light his cigar from the flames off their body.

Susie Jackson loved playing dress up in her deceased Aunt Sarah's attic in front of the antique mirror. Susie's father inherited her sister Sarah's Victorian home after her disappearance. Susie always thought her Aunt Sarah was a school teacher. Sarah had no idea that her Aunt practiced Black Magic in the attic. Legend has it that the Sarah bought an antique mirror from a Witch. The Witch told Sarah the mirror has powers of evil. This excited Sarah because she too was a practicing Witch.

It was 1863 in a town called Cactus Jack and Dr. Henry Corbin who was the town's doctor had grown tired of practicing medicine and was really interested in opening his own wax museum. When Henry brought mannequins to his wax museum and had his grand opening it turned out to be a disaster and Henry was out for revenge. That's when the horror begun for the townspeople.

Delbert Gray was an amateur photographer with a hunger for fame. The camera Delbert used was a cheap Kodak Instamatic. You can see why Delbert dreamed of owning a Nikon like his rich friend Michael. Michael would let his friend Delbert develop his pictures in his darkroom while he was developing his own. Delbert really envied Michael's photographs and would often close his eyes and day dream about being a famous photographer some day. Delbert was only 15 years old.

"I still remember the day as though it just happened today," said Bill Withers. Matt agrees and tells Elliott the story of how it all began back in the 1930s. This story starts in 1934 and has Matt telling of his beginnings in the Chicago Police Department, his move to Los Angeles, his beginnings in the Los Angeles Police Department, his first marriage to Stella and life after her death.

Karen Viselli and John Deadman were curious about the Legend of the Talbot family's misfortune surrounding the game Planchette that became a family tradition on stormy nights. But their family tradition was about to take a tragic turn for the worse that would cause each family member to have to pay with their own lives for conjuring up a demonic presence. Karen and John were both determined to find the Planchette game that was used at the Talbot's Mansion but no one has ever been able to find where the game may have been hidden all of those years.

Just as the first wave of flying saucer sightings ended in the summer of 1947, the military began a project to investigate those reports. For 22 years, the Air Force attempted to learn what it could about the phenomena they called UFOs. During those years, they investigated more than 12,000 sightings including landings, occupant reports, photographs, radar cases, and intercepts by military jet fighters. In many instances plausible explanations were advanced, but nearly 1,000 sightings were marked as unidentified.

The Devil explained to Beelzebub, "Whatever you do don't eat the fruit from the Garden of Hell." Beelzebub replied, "Why master, it looks tasty." The Devil answered, "If you do, you won't see the wonderful Hell that I have created for you. Just to make sure you don't eat of the tree."
