Can U Love Me is a memoir about Nicholas “NinosCorner” Battle, a young black child growing up in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. A single-parent household, coupled with the “crack” epidemic, made life for this '80s baby very challenging. The introduction of hip-hop gave him an outlet to cope with the struggles he faced within his environment. It provided the soundtrack and the blueprint to his life and formed the foundation necessary for him to navigate through all the challenges the world would throw at him.

What happens when a man goes from nothing to everything then back to nothing? The agony of mental defeat from the one he wants it from most. Every man has a need that must be met in order to keep him faithful. But what happens when he gets one thing from his wife, however she refuses and withholds another part of his needs. The one thing Devin needed from his wife was respect. She refused to give it to him. But why? Maybe because he isn’t providing like a man should have been at the time. Maybe he doesn’t have enough money.

When I was younger I could never understand what the word "life" meant to me and how to live it with the best of my abilities not having my father around to show me how to defeat those demons on my shoulders. That is when I created the man behind the story. The life lessons and how I overcome it is how I became stronger than the man I see everyday while staring at the person who destroyed and built the man I see everyday in those dirty cold mirrors, so thank you all once again for listening to the man I transformed to be.

My audiobook is a reflection of my life and I call it my life visionary book, which symbolizes my life in each story line I may present to you today.
