If the Toucan Could Speak is a poem that reflects if nature itself could talk to us, what would it pronounce and announce! It is a short and concise poem about the woes of overused resources and climate change.

The Wolf poem was inspired by William Blake's "The Tyger". It has the same regular form & meter as "The Tyger". With tempo and stanza (of the quatrain type), and is about one single animal in the natural world. Where it differs from William Blake's poem is that the "The Tyger" has more religious connotations, not surprising for the times in which it was written.

This poem was inspired by a program I saw on silkworms and their germination and metamorphosis into adult moths (which they generally never get to because of the demand for their silk).

The inspiration for this Poem, I think started writing initially after the title popped into my head. It seemed quite unusual and yet scintillating. I didn't really know where the 'road' was going to lead to.. I knew about 'out of Africa' for the human race, and realized that that was what I was aiming for. Many African nations where 'gifted' mobile phones or very cheaply from the old used stock in the early 2000's and that was the return point to Africa - Namibia being the early tribesman - their region being where humanity is supposed to have sprung from!
