Winston and his crew have just returned from the Nether, but they have no time to rest. They have to travel to a distant pillager outpost, and try to rescue Fawn's parents.

Winston and his squad have destroyed the Guild, but at great cost. Now, Winston must journey to the Nether to seek the assistance of a healer to restore Penelope's hand and, with luck, his eye. It sounds like a simple task, but nothing is ever easy in the Nether.

They begin from an impossible position: They have no idea what the brilliant flash of white light did to her. In fact, they have no idea if she is even alive. It doesn't matter, though, because friends are worth fighting for.

Baby Zeke and his squad have returned from the Nether after escaping from Shadow Light at the end of Book 14. But now, Shadow Light is after them and is intent on conquering every realm in Baby Zeke's dimension. Can Zeke defeat yet another foe? Or is his world doomed to be reduced to shadow and light?

At the end of Book 9, things looked desperate for the Rebellion. After Rebellion HQ was destroyed, only about six rebels remained. Wickham, the Guild, and Robert Dretsky seem to have gotten everything they wanted.
