Der Rabe (im englischen Original "The Raven") ist ein erzählendes Gedicht des US-amerikanischen Schriftstellers Edgar Allan Poe. Es wurde zum ersten Mal am 29. Januar 1845 in der New Yorker Zeitung Evening Mirror veröffentlicht und schildert in 108 Versen den mysteriösen, mitternächtlichen Besuch eines Raben bei einem Verzweifelten, dessen Geliebte verstorben ist. Es ist eines der bekanntesten US-amerikanischen Gedichte.

Auf der Jagd nach den verschollenen Manuskripten des Karl Marx Dr. Edward Aveling, der "Schwiegersohn" des soeben verstorbenen Philosophen Karl Marx, hat einen schlechten Charakter, sonst würde er Band 2 und 3 von Das Kapital nicht als Pfand für seine Verluste beim Glücksspiel hinterlegen. Als er sie auslösen will, hat sich der Gewinner damit bereits aus dem Staub gemacht.

Sherlock Holmes lebt längst in den Sussex Downs im Ruhestand, als eine dubiose Filmproduktion ohne sein Wissen einen erotischen Stummfilm über ihn dreht, der in speziell dafür eingerichteten Pubs gezeigt wird. Seine lieben Arztkollegen haben nichts Besseres zu tun, als Watson das Lichtspiel vorzuführen. Watson ist entsetzt. Noch entsetzter ist er, als erfährt, dass sein Freund Opfer des Hauptdarstellers, eines Gelegenheits-Hochstaplers, geworden ist, der als angeblicher Sherlock Holmes Geld von einem potentiellen Kunden unterschlagen hat.

An Ayahuasca Journey within the series The Shamanic Quest is a report of my Ayahuasca voyage in 2004 to Ecuador, where I was drinking the sacred brew in the presence of an experienced Shuar shaman. I erect the hypothesis that when the traditional Ayahuasca brew is ingested, it is not, or not directly, the plant’s DMT that causes the spiritual voyage, as it is assumed in the overwhelming part of the literature on shamanism and entheogens.
