Bill and Ellen are trying to rekindle their relationship. After accepting an invitation to a private resort, Bill and Ellen find themselves accompanied by wealthy guests on a secluded, lush island. After Ellen and another guest encounter a massive glowing crab, everything changes. As the days go by, Bill realizes something is wrong with nearly everyone on the island, especially his wife. Feeling alone and outnumbered, he investigates and discovers horrors beyond imagination.

It was just another fishing trip for Stew, his wife, and their friends until the storm. Forced off-course to avoid the worst of the swells and lightning, the boat floats into a dead zone filled with large, glowing jellies. Upon investigating an adrift boat, the creatures attack them, sickening one of their party. With the Coast Guard on their way to evacuate them, the four have to survive until help arrives.
