La Brigade Para a beau être petite, notre influence grandit. J'ai gagné le respect des vampires et des loups-garous de Londres et je crois que je sais enfin ce que je fais. Et puis, en l'espace d'une seule journée, les choses dégénèrent complètement dans la communauté des paras de Londres.

Si quelqu'un peut comprendre ce que reposer en paix veut dire, c'est bien Ivy. Enfin, "se" reposer en paix, en tout cas. Tout juste remise sur pied après son affrontement macabre avec un nécromancien, Ivy est de nouveau plongée dans un monde de mystère, d'aventure, et de désastre imminent. C'est pas de sa faute: apparemment, elle est désormais la seule personne au monde à pouvoir communiquer avec les morts. Et malheureusement pour elle, ils ont la langue bien pendue et une grosse liste de réclamations.

Mack parviendra-t-elle à découvrir d'où elle vient ? Mack entame sa formation à l'académie des mages, en espérant que si elle se plie aux règles, ils accepteront de lever le sortilège de stase qui emprisonne sa vieille amie, Mme Alcoon. Mais une fois arrivée là-bas, elle se retrouve entourée de professeurs hostiles et d'élèves désagréables, dont la grande majorité semble bien décidée à la voir échouer.

Ce qui n'est pas si mal, hein, vu que ça lui donne un prétexte du tonnerre pour passer plus de temps avec Raphaël Winter, son pseudo-Némésis aux yeux saphir. Et quand il toque à sa porte en lui demandant d'aller jouer l'espionne sur le tournage de sa série préférée, Enchantement, elle saute sur l'occasion. Glander sur un plateau télé, c'est sûrement pas difficile.
