Dr. Forester is a young archeologist out to prove that she has what it takes to make a name for herself in a field dominated by men. Agena has earned the right to lead a group of mercenaries. She earned it by beating the local town hero, Bram, in a duel. The duel was the easy part, though, since now she has to find and kill a flock of gryphons. So she leads her 20-man team into the eerie Darkling Cave where they are ambushed by a swarm of gryphons. Steel clashes with claws and soon only Agena and the largest of the gryphons are left alive. The massive gryphon makes short work of Agena, leaving her defenseless. Just as Agena thinks the gryphon is going in for the kill, he begins to caress her skin. He doesn't want to kill her.
