Many Christians are familiar with The Pilgrim's Progress, John Bunyan's famous book written from a prison cell, which portrays the Christian life as one traveling from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. During Bunyan's life, however, he produced nearly sixty books and tracts. Roger Duke and Phil Newton, with Drew Harris, trace the significant events that shaped Bunyan's life and thought in a biographical introduction and, in thirty-one excerpts from a variety of this great man of faith's writings, give us a glimpse of his piety, which flowed from his desire to venture all for God.

On the 7th of January 1949, Tommy Vandiver and his new wife, Beatrice were seen walking up Saltwell Hill towards the home they were living in at the time. This was the last anyone ever saw Roy, Beatrice or her 17-year-old daughter Wanda. What happened to the family of 3 remains a mystery even now, over 70 years later. A female executive, Amanda Waterman, dies in suspicious circumstances at the same location at Canary Wharf. One man knows why and how she died: the secretive CEO of a mysterious drug company, who is hellbent on making trouble for DCI Philip Lomax, leading officer of the Serious Murder Enquiry Team. As evidence comes to light, Lomax becomes convinced the case is connected to the death of both his father and brother. Yet still the bodies pile up.
