Nie mehr mit den anderen Drachen um die Wette fliegen? Unvorstellbar! Luna-Maie ist ein ganz normales Mädchen. Nun ja. Zumindest fast. Sie trägt ein Geheimnis mit sich rum, von dem nur ihre Mutter und deren Freundinnen, die Drachenschwestern, wissen. Seit sie auf der Welt ist, kann sie sich in einen Drachen verwandeln. Doch nicht mehr lange. Die Uhr tickt. Der Legende nach verlieren die Drachenwandler ihre Fähigkeiten, sobald sie anfangen, erwachsen zu werden. Kein Wunder ist Erwachsenwerden das letzte, was Luna-Maie will.

"Mein Leben muss anders werden!" beschließt Miri, inspiriert von ihren neuen besten Freundinnen, den Drachenschwestern. Mutiger, spannender, und vor allem männerfrei... So lautet jedenfalls der Plan. Doch dann entdeckt sie, dass sie schwanger ist - ohne die leiseste Ahnung zu haben, wo sich der zugehörige Vater befindet. Plötzlich ist sie sich nicht mehr so sicher, ob ihr Plan so gut ist. Als wäre das nicht genug Aufregung, verliert sie ihren Job und wird von einem unbekannten Stalker verfolgt.

Während sie ihr Leben neu organisiert, sich mit einem rechthaberischen Drachen zankt, der Liebe aus dem Weg geht und mafiöse Machenschaften aufdeckt, lernt sie ihre Drachenschwestern kennen.
