Being a teenager is hard enough, but being ripped through a portal from your home to a magical realm is something else. Yet that is exactly what Mira, Jackson, and Sara have experienced. Hopefully, along the way he can figure out what is happening, and learn to resist integration into the system by a mysterious AI (...which may not even be an AI at all).

Falls das nicht genug war, stand ihm auch noch die Wilde Jagd bevor.

Countdown setzt die Geschichte fort und zeigt das signifikante Wachstum sowohl der Charaktere als auch ihrer Kräfte. Silas findet einen Mentor, lernt, das System zu überlisten, wird verraten und findet ein fünftes Teammitglied.
