Fifteen-year-old Teri Hewitt has been left holding the babies since her dad disappeared without trace. The search reveals a chronically unemployed drug addict caught up in counterfeiting scams and mixed up with the Russian mafia and Vietnamese gunmen.

Elvis et Scott comprennent que les deux enquêtes sont liées et unissent leurs forces pour retrouver la trace de la disparue et de l'assassin. S'engage alors une chasse à travers tout Los Angeles.
