இந்தியா சுதந்திரம் அடையும் முன்பு அடைந்த பின்பு நடந்த சம்பவங்களை உள்ளடக்கி வெளியான எழுத்தாளர் கல்கியின் நாவல் அலை ஓசை. பிராமணக் குடும்பத்தில் நடைபெறும் சம்பவங்களை, தோராயமாக 1933 ம் ஆண்டு முதல் 1948 ஆண்டு வரை நடைபெறும் சம்பவங்களை வைத்து அலை ஓசை கதை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
