Dead or Alive? Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually. Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me, and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers. Turns out, this Hell is being terrorized by an evil king, and he’s hell-bent on bringing all of Hell under his dominion. He also happens to control the portal back to our world, which I very much want to use.

New world. New body. Mind-blowing possibilities. Maybe this world full of jaw-droppingly beautiful women and martial arts magic is just some sort of delusion. Maybe this strong, capable body I’ve found myself in isn’t real. But if it is, then there’s a path that could lead me to everything I’ve ever desired. The training comes first.

Death isn’t always the end. I was a soldier, fighting for the lives of the whole world, when I went and got myself obliterated by this magic alien monster. I figured that was it. Game over, done. But, then I woke up in a different body, in a strange world full of dust and ruins, with awesome martial arts skills I’d never had before. Not to mention a chi gift thing that seemed to work a lot like magic. And, there were these words seared into my brain like a motivational quote: You can save them. You can save all of them.

I didn't know the half of it.

In the end, only one rule matters. Fight to win. No matter how strong your opponent proves to be, or how bad the odds are of success. Fight to win. Even when it hurts like nothing you’ve ever felt before, and giving up seems to be the best option, you have to keep going. Fight to win.

Defeat a sea monster. Kill a legendary man-eater. Protect my harem from an old enemy. We escaped the cannibals and the volcano, and are now headed to a promising new island. It's going to be great. A bigger island to explore, a new tribe to meet, and endless possibilities for our growing family. But it's no longer just about having shelter and finding food. We have bigger plans than ever. It's no longer adapt or die. Now, it's adapt and thrive.

The apocalypse began on Bring Your Dog to Work Day. One moment, everything was normal. Then the World Core woke up, and slaughtered almost everything alive so it could harvest their Chi. After that, it rebuilt everything and put the survivors in a game-like environment, pitting them against monsters and each other. The rules are different now. Chi power is as important as being able to fight. I'm one of the survivors. With my knowledge of martial arts and my special Chi skill, I'm turning myself into a force to be reckoned with.

When a champion from an enemy house seeks my help, it upsets the delicate balance of power upon which this whole world is built. My life and the lives of my harem are at stake, and I will do anything to ensure we survive. Even if it means I have to leave them all behind.

When training ends, real life begins. A stadium built to hold insane numbers of spectators. Thousands of competitors. Multiple matches every single day. The qualifying tournament has begun. I have to fight, day in, day out, all the way to the end, with only my natural talents and the women I love to help me. And some of those I’m competing against will stop at nothing to see me fail.

I was a bit of a rogue, picking pockets and seducing women, without a care for the future. Now, with the aid of a beautiful enchantress and a pet rat dragon, I'm out for revenge. Trouble is, my target is one of the most powerful, ruthless men in the city. But what he doesn't know is that I'm no longer playing by his rules. I'm playing by my own. No matter what dark, hidden secrets I uncover in the process.

I can sense it. The temple we’ve been heading toward for so long. The end of our journey. Standing in our way are the most malign, loathsome, powerful beings ever put on this earth, and their dark chi powers are just plain mental. Kuno, a former soldier, is searching for fortune. But not just as any ordinary adventurer. True power comes from making alliances with the alluring dungeon goddesses. Between the carnivorous plants and the mutated competitors, my whole team needs to collect as much Chi as possible if we hope to survive. Leveling up is the name of the game. Growing more powerful to compete with the monsters standing in our way. That’s where my special Chi skill comes into play. It gives us an advantage that others can’t match. And the distinct side effect that comes with it? Well, there has to be some benefit to the new rules.

That’s the rule when traveling through Hell. It may sound exciting to ride through Hell to save one of your lovers, but in reality it’s full of blood and magic, orcs and Hellhounds, secrets and revelations. The Wraith King’s minions will do anything to capture or kill me. But I’ve got a plan to strike back.

There’s a powerful darkness growing inside me. I can feel it, igniting my blood with a lust for death. It gets stronger each time I use my magic and much, much harder to control. And yet, I don’t have a choice. Destiny is calling. What shape it will take, I don’t yet know, but my very blood yearns to answer that call.

The first of the trials was just the beginning. The next ones are just as dangerous, but they come with an opportunity as well. They’re all about leveling up, more than I ever thought possible. If I can help my women (and my monster dog) make it through, we'll unlock the keys to infinite Chi.
