Old Man Jiu Jitsu is an exploration, evolution, exposure and execution in the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as experience by a veteran of the art of Jiu Jitsu. It's not a manual on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). It is not a demonstration of techniques or cool moves to develop your BJJ game. It is an effort and guide to assist the BJJ practitioner in developing a mindset and understanding of the aging grappler, as well as a manner in which to find comfort in the sometimes uncomfortable world of BJJ, improve one's practice and perhaps achieve the distinguishing title of Old Man Jiu Jitsu.

Healing isn't possible, though, without first uncovering the hurts—starting with adoption's central players: adoptees, who are so often in pain, suffering from what the latest brain science validates as the long-term emotional effects of separation trauma.
