In this installment of the Jackson Stafford series, we find ourselves in the office of the new reporter, Jacob Jacobson. He and his fellow reporter Ronald Hollingsworth have been given an opportunity of a lifetime when Senator Bailey’s assistant calls them. Don and Nancy, the NSA professional dissecting the Pandora Project case, will connect the dots and draw the conclusions as to who and what is going on at the Project.

From the laboratory bed, the candidate Jackson Stafford has arisen, intact and fully aware of the events that transpired within the Pandora Project. From deep within the facility, multiple employees are seeking a way to rebel, to tell their story about the Pandora Project to the awaiting world. Dr. Brody has resolved himself to become one of those who will open the secrets and reveal them to the entire world.

Echoes, the book, is a collection of dreams, memories, thoughts, and motivations--comments meant to inspire and encourage those who may have traveled the same roads. Echoes is a book that will be a continuing work as I add new memories and comments over the years for my granddaughter, Astrid. This collection is a gift to her to remember me long after I've ascended.

Uprising, the 13th novel in the Jackson Stafford series, has entered a critical stage where all of the rebellious employees of the Pandora Project are ready to revolt. Dr. Jennings has sought solace, the Watcher's Defector is finalizing his agreement with the NSA, Amanda, Dr. Brody, and Hank have successfully removed Claire Melbourne from the cryotube, and the senior armed guard has blackmailed Dr. Brody and is waiting for his money.

The warmth was a comforting contrast to the chill outside, and he took a sip, savoring the bitter taste that brought him back to life every morning. The barista, barely in her twenties, giggled.

When I found out the truth about the ‘hunt’, I could hardly believe it. It held me in a state of disbelief. Yet, having witnessed it myself firsthand, there was no way of denying that it wasn’t real. Not all of the men who went into the valley’s forest to hunt returned alive. It was a risk that each of us understood and accepted as a fact of life. It was, at least for me and my brothers, something that we’d wanted to do, no, something that was expected of us to complete before we became much older.

Jacob, Ron, and the two editors-in-chief are on their way to a meeting that will be held at the Washington Sentinel's building. The four will sort through the information from the Valley of the Dead field doctor. The four newspaper professionals will lay out their strategy for breaking the story to the world. Every consequence must be discussed. The legal portion must be considered if Names are to be Named. Back at the university, the four research students have gained permission to study off-campus at Deborah's place, but is it safe?

This is a story of how one’s dreams can usually be obtained, but only by hard work and determination, and those one or two people we may not even consider to be our friend's encouragement along the way. It’s a story of pathways that converge at a point that leaves a lasting impression on us, only to go their separate ways and make us lose hope of ever finding that pathway that touched our hearts so deeply .
