The Sign of the Four (1890), also called The Sign of Four, is the second novel featuring Sherlock Holmes written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. While Scotland Yard attaches little importance to the matter and closes the investigation, Holmes' logical prowess and astute observation skills lead him and Watson down a politically motivated and quite interesting road.
