This is a true story of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. It will take you down the path of my life from childhood through adulthood; the ins and outs of how the abuse formed my very being. Leading me in what I look back on as...a life of self-destruction. The pain and sorrow in which I learned how to love and how to be loved. The acceptance that I was worthless, and the belief that no one would or could ever love only me. Fearing I would never find happiness, I fell into a depression.

The story takes place almost entirely inside a priest's confessional office. Chapters alternate between a psychiatrist giving her confessions to the priest and the confessions of the very patients mentioned by the psychiatrist in her sessions. Every sentence that is written in the past tense is spoken aloud to the priest or by her, and every sentence that is written in the present tense is one of the priest's thoughts or an action she experiences.
