Born in Bolton, Clive Myrie had his eyes set on journalism from a young age, reading the newspapers of his paper round cover to cover. Despite having studied Law at Sussex University, Myrie applied for the BBC's journalism training scheme, successfully joining in 1988, and the rest is history. Myrie is now an award-winning journalist, having reported from over 80 countries on some of the world's most notable events. Putting his unique perspective into words, Clive Myrie will be speaking to us about his memoir Everything Is Everything.

Rory Stewart has had a far-reaching career over a multitude of different countries and positions. Having been educated at Eton and then Oxford University, Stewart went on to join the Foreign Office where he worked primarily in military intervention and international development, serving in Jakarta and Southern Iraq. Following these postings, Stewart walked alone across Afghanistan, relying on its people to house him on his way. He consequently wrote a book about this journey, and has gone on to become a bestselling author.

Some difficult times through his childhood in South Africa did nothing to diminish Johannes Radebe's shine. Radebe has now penned his first memoir, Jojo: Finally Home, which documents some of the difficulties he faced growing up and how he got through it. We'll be talking to him about the support and care he got from the women in his life, the way homophobia has affected him, and his passion for dance and the solace it has provided. His memoir, You Don't Have to Be Mad to Work Here looks at his struggles as a frontline NHS doctor in an underfunded sector, and navigates how he ended up in the profession in the first place.

One of Britain's most prolific authors, Horowitz is known for his children’s fiction, such as the Alex Rider series, his mystery novels including Magpie Murders, as well as being a screenwriter and creator of series such as Midsomer Murders and BAFTA winning Foyle's War. We’ll be chatting with Anthony Horowitz about Close to Death, the fifth installment in his Hawthorne and Horowitz detective series. We will be asking how Horowitz how he decides when he’s got a good idea, what the move from children’s to adult’s fiction was like, and why he chose to write a series with himself as a character.

We'll be talking to Nicolas Hamilton about his debut book, Now That I Have Your Attention, finding out what his role is within the Hamilton family, why he pushes himself so hard and how it feels to race against able-bodied drivers.

We'll be asking Kate Muir about Everything You Need to Know About the Pill (But Were too Afraid to Ask), debunking myths, discovering why women are often given the wrong advice, and the prospects of a male pill. Muir worked for seven years as chief film critic for The Times before turning more towards investigative journalism. She has written three novels but her more recent works have looked at the hormonal issues that women face, often needlessly. She has produced documentaries on the menopause, as well as becoming an expert public speaker.

One of Britain’s greatest lyricists, George the Poet was born in London to Ugandan parents, and regularly performs about diversity, inclusion, equality and discrimination. We’ll be speaking with George the Poet to find out more about Track Record, his memoir which delves into community, colonialism and how these things shape the world around us. We’ll be asking what George learnt about the music industry from having a record deal, how his community growing up shaped him, and why colonialism still persists.

Selling out the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006 with Asylum Speaker was where Shaparak Khorsandi made a name for herself and she has gone on to perform worldwide. She has appeared as a regular panelist on shows. Her writing career began with her bestselling memoir, A Beginners Guide to Acting English which looks at her childhood as her family fled Iran. Since then she has written a novel, Nina Is Not Okay, and young adult fiction, Kissing Emma. We'll be chatting to Sharapak Khorsandi about her new memoir, Scatter Brain, which takes us through her life with lens of now knowing that she has ADHD.

Andy Burnham has served as Mayor of Greater Manchester since 2017, and as Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Culture Secretary and Health Secretary among other roles during his extended political career. Steve Rotheram has served as Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region since 2017 and like Burnham, has long supported the Labour party.

Lorraine Kelly has hosted many shows during her 40 years on television, including The Wheel, Have I Got News For You and The Last Leg, though she is of course best known for her weekday show Lorraine on ITV. She won the RTS award for Best Presenter in 2006, and in 2008 she earned herself a 'people's choice' Scottish BAFTA. Kelly is a master interviewer, sitting down with celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba and Will Smith. Kelly has previously released an autobiography and several self-help books, but her latest endeavor is her debut novel, The Island Swimmer.

Joining us at Audible Studios is comedian and teacher, Shabaz Ali. Better known as @ShabazSays, or ‘#King of the Povvos’, Shabaz Ali has amassed over 1 million followers on Instagram and 1.8 million on TikTok with his caustic take downs of the mega-rich. In the name of the cost of living crisis, Ali mocks those who spend their fortunes on designer bags, aesthetically pleasing fridge re-stocks and needlessly priced useless items. When he’s not making viral reaction videos, he can be found teaching chemistry at a school in Blackburn.

Joining us at Audible Studios is broadcaster, social media content creator and disability activist, Lucy Edwards. Alongside working for sight loss charities, Edwards became the first ever blind pre-senter to host on BBC Radio 1, promoting accessibility and proving that being blind doesn’t hold her back. Lucy Edwards has now written Blind Not Broken, a book about her story and how it can help others. We’ll be asking Lucy about rebellious hope, how her family worked together, and why it’s okay to feel two opposing things at the exact same time.
