David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., is an internationally known author and speaker on the subject of spiritually advanced states of consciousness and the realization of the presence of God as Self. His published works, as well as recorded lectures, have been widely recognized as unique. Reason and faith are paradigms that are poles apart, reflecting vastly different attitudes from which one looks at the world. Reason is linear content (conflict, left brain), while faith is nonlinear context (coherence, right brain). In this seminar, Dr. Hawkins demonstrates the contrast between these paradigms, pointing out that they are completely different processes for synthesizing information. He reveals the step that switches us from the left brain to the right brain.

These all-day seminars were held at the Creative Life Center in Sedona, AZ. In this series, Dr. Hawkins presents the necessary information & steps to follow to reach the state of Enlightenment, with an emphasis on outlining the obstacles facing a spiritual student and how to transcend them. He calibrates the truth of the statements made during each lecture.

The Question and Answer Series is a collection of three events, recorded in 2011, that opens with a few remarks by Dr. Hawkins. He then answers questions from the audience relating to the information presented in his books and lectures on consciousness research and spiritual realities, as well as other spiritual matters and current events.

In this awe-inspiring lecture, Dr. Hawkins reveals that peace can't really be accomplished in the world, that it is an inner state. Peace and freedom are what you are and when you let go of trying to control things and give God advice, it puts you into a space where it's irrelevant. Dr. Hawkins explains that the intellect is really our problem, as it is very fast and takes credit for what happens and presumes to be the causal effect. If we can get beyond thinking in terms of a "this" causing a "that", then you don't need to make up a false explanation of why things happen.

This unique event allowed Dr. Hawkins to answer some deep and interesting questions in an intimate bookstore setting. Questions came from novices who are unfamiliar with his work as well as from students who have studied his teachings for several years. The topics include challenges to one's comfort zone; A Course in Miracles; changing employment; sensitivity to negativity; parental vs. personal career choice; consciousness level 700; clinical depression.

Talk #1: In this insightful session, Dr. Hawkins and his wife, Susan discuss the reality of life and its challenges. He stresses the importance of faith and prayer in daily living and how to maintain a spiritual awareness in life. Glamour, greed and human wants are also discussed. In addition, we are given a truth that we can use when life gets to be too much to handle. Dr. Hawkins also addresses the phrase "like goes to like" and the value of acceptance in one's life.

The Satsang Series is an informal bi-monthly event that opens with a few remarks by Dr. Hawkins. He then answers questions from the audience relating to the information presented in his books and lectures on consciousness research and spiritual realities, as well as other spiritual matters and current events. Often described as "unique" and "awesome", Dr. Hawkins' presentations are frequently humorous as well, despite his formal title in the Far East as 'Tae Ryoung Sun Kak Dosa' (the 'Foremost Teacher of Enlightenment').
