In this exciting adventure, Cotton is joined by Deputy Marshal Frank Golden of Texas, Deputy Marshal Justin Dyer of Cedar Ridge, and riders from the Flying W ranch as they fight Indians and track down the notorious killer Texas Red and his gang of robbers and cattle rustlers and put a stop to their activities that have been plaguing the people of Wyoming for the past several years. A major part of this audiobook was originally written and compiled in 1929 by Mrs. Jean (Augusta) Graham. She passed from this world in October of 1977 in her home town of Osceola, Missouri, after a long illness. She had retired in 1947 and was a member of the Osceola Presbyterian Church. She was active and much loved in the community.

The clerk tells her that there is a great legend about the bracelet.

He rescues a young cavalry officer, Roger Painter, and they become friends. They are both saved by his big Missouri mule, Jack. He then becomes an agent for the Pony Express and acquires a new friend.

In 1809, John Potts and John Colter were taking two canoes up the Jefferson River in Montana. Potts and Colter came upon a band of several hundred Blackfeet Indians who demanded they come ashore. Colter guided his canoe ashore and was disarmed and stripped naked. When Potts refused to bring his canoe ashore he was shot and wounded. He returned fire and killed one of the Blackfeet warriors. He died immediately, riddled by a hail of bullets fired by the Indians on the shore.

In Volume 2, Zoie and her cousin, Savannah, start on another series of exciting adventures. Zoie saves the lives of three adults and a baby at the scene of an accident. The Wizard Lord Drayfus is released from prison and starts on a campaign to enter the outerworld and capture some Elfins who have thus far eluded him. Using her "Sparkler" to save the accident victims has resulted in Millie coming from the Inner-world and taking back Zoie's sparkler, but she leaves her a magic ring for her protection.

Fourteen-year-old Zoie Pendragon visits her grandparents at their farm, which is called Whispering Oaks. Zoie makes friends with an Elfin Guardian named Shamus. Shamus assigns a Wish Fairy by the name of Millie to be with Zoie.

Apache: A warrior race of people with a history longer than sand has passed through the hour glass of time. The nation's economy, like that of other Indian tribes, was based primarily on hunting and raiding; they were hunters and warriors of the first degree. History says that it was Spanish Conquistadors under the command of Francisco Coronado (1510 - 1554) who first made contact with the Apache and traded with them. The Spaniards referred to the Apache as the "dog people" because they did not have horses and traveled with much of their burdens being carried by dogs described as being white with black or brown spots. Where the Comanche ran up on their enemy shouting and screaming, the Apache took a radical approach of a silent swift attack that his victim did not hear coming.

The nation's economy, like that of other Plains Indian tribes, was based primarily on the buffalo; they were hunters and warriors of the first degree. They warred with everyone. By the middle of the 18th century, they had taken up horse breeding and had herds numbering in the thousands. Their name, given to them by the Ute Indians from their word komantsi, which means enemy.
