The story is told through the eyes of young Jim Hawkins, who first hears the tales of buried pirate treasure while working in his father's tavern. Once he actually meets some of those pirates, the action moves from the tavern, to the the high seas, and then to a secret island. A true adventure classic.

En Rinconete y Cortadillo, publicado en 1613 por Miguel de Cervantes, dos hombres jóvenes aprenden a sobrevivir con el juego y los trucos. Estas dos historias cortas son sátiras de la sociedad que dibujan la sociedad de la época, incluso podríamos compararlas con el mundo en que vivimos hoy.

Ambos muchachos llamados Pedro del Rincón y Diego Cortado, huyeron de sus respectivos hogares debido a que eran maltratados por sus familias. Por el camino hacia Sevilla encuentran a un arriero, a éste le estafan con cartas robándole todo el dinero que llevaba consigo.

Bambini e ragazzi si possano educare da soli; l'amicizia tra loro può aiutarli a migliorarsi; il lavoro e la vita all'aperto garantiscono un corpo sano e favoriscono un buon equilibrio psicologico: queste sono quindi le tesi educative del romanzo, in netto contrasto con le convinzioni pedagogiche dell'epoca. Ma il libro non precorreva i tempi solo in questo: nella seconda parte del libro vengono affrontate e ben spiegate le teorie del “pensiero positivo” e della ripetizione dei pensieri positivi che è alla base di così tante tecniche cosiddette “magiche”.....
