"L'Étourdi ou les contretemps" est la première comédie en 5 actes et en vers de Molière. Elle fut créée à Lyon en 1655 et reprise à Paris dès l'installation de la troupe en 1658, au théâtre du "Petit Bourbon". Lélie, fils de Pandolfe, aime Célie, esclave de Truffaldin aimée aussi de Léandre. Pour faire triompher son amour, il a recours aux stratagèmes de Mascarille, son valet, mais les fait échouer par ses étourderies. Acte II, scènes 1 à 7. "Le Dépit amoureux" est lié à une autre étape provinciale de Molière, Béziers. La pièce y fut donnée en 1656.

"Le pain de ménage" (1898) est une comédie en un acte de Jules Renard, à portée autobiographique, et souvent jouée avec une autre pièce de l'auteur, "Le plaisir de rompre" (1897). Deux couples sont réunis pour un séjour de vacances. Marthe et Pierre, dont les conjoints respectifs se sont absentés après le dîner, évoquent leur vie de couple et l'issue possible de leurs relations. Extraits.

Avec le génial Louis de Funès dans le rôle de Géronte. Les fourberies de Scapin est une comédie de Molière en prose, créée en 1671 et fortement empreinte de comédie italienne. Du vivant de Molière, qui interprétait Scapin, elle ne connut qu'un faible succès ; à sa mort il devient immense, jusqu'à en faire une des pièces les plus jouées du répertoire français. En l'absence de leurs pères partis en voyage, Octave, fils d'Argante, s'est épris de Hyacinthe, jeune fille pauvre et de naissance inconnue qu'il vient d'épouser, ainsi que Léandre, fils de Géronte, de la "jeune Égyptienne" Zerbinette.

Pour se venger d'un Sganarelle buveur, roublard et fainéant, son épouse, Martine, le fait passer pour un grand médecin, mais si fantasque qu'il faut le bastonner pour qu'il accepte d'exercer son art. Affublé malgré lui de ces nouvelles compétences, Sganarelle comprend rapidement l'intérêt qu'il peut tirer de cette situation et se prend au jeu. À grands coups de latin et de ruse, notre médecin de pacotille réussira-t-il à tromper son monde jusqu'au bout ?

Kabir, meaning "Great" and one of the 99 names of God in Arabic, was a mystic and poet, born around 1440 in Varanasi to poor Muslim parents. Another account claims he was the child of a Brahmin widow. He himself said he was "at once the child of Allah and Ram". Songs of Innocence and of Experience is a collection of 45 poems by English poet William Blake.
